THIS IS VERY SHOCKING. My impression of Romeo and Juliet changed quite a bit after watching "William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet", the 1996 version. The director was REALLY smart cos he combined the Shakespearean language with modern context and guess what, IT TURNED OUT TO BE PERFECTLY NORMAL! Ok not just normal, but more of a COOL normal ;)

I've not finished the whole movie because Tudou died on me :/ I've JUST finished the balcony scene. It's good that they didn't show the lovesick side of Romeo too much in the beginning, cos that's the part i hate the most about Romeo, so whinny and passive and emo and, UGH. There were several characters which shocked me quite a bit. First on the list, MERCUTIO (gosh i forgot how to spell it!). I didn't expect him to be someone that crazy and wild. Next, Lady Capulet. Hmmm, she's much younger than i thought, she's like what, 28/29? :O OH and there's Benvolio. WELL, I didn't expect to see him so fat. HAHAHA nahh kidding. The thing is, Benvolio in the movie is a little more violent than the one portrayed in the book, pretty interesting stuff ;)

I don't know what to expect for the rest of the scenes. The images of people fighting in swords and doing cool/weird fencing stuff are stuck in my head, i can't turn them into really violent and modern scenes like people holding up guns. I think right, guns are not as fun as swords, not as er, anticipating if you get what i mean ;)

In conclusion, i really recommend this movie to everyone, whether or not you like Shakespeare (or in my case, Romeo and Juliet). It's quite a clever movie and be prepared to expect the unexpected! XD

Okies Tudou really died on Romeo and Juliet, now i'm watching "The princess diaries 2". I LOVED THE FIRST MOVIE! Even my parents liked it ok, we watched it on Disney Channel many times! TEEHEE!

Anyway, i liked today's training! Probably it's because i had enough sleep last night. The physical training wasn't that bad cos YEAH BABY WE HAD NEW TRACKS TO PLAY! WHEEE I PICKED OUT COOL FAST/MEDIUM/SLOW SONGS AND ZENG YU BURNT THEM INTO 3 SEPARATE CDs! WAHHH it was like having 兴奋剂 when "automatic" played!!! TEEHEE!
